Quick and Dirty Character Generation

Turn to a fresh page in your Commonplace book and answer the following questions (in order!);

  1. Male, female or other.
  2. Age & how old do they appear?
  3. Eye color & hair color
  4. Weight & Height
  5. Type of body
  6. Distinguishing marks & predominant features
  7. Favorite type of music (list bands and songs if you can) and/or Favorite type of literature (list titles or authors if applicable)
  8. Daredevil or cautious?
  9. Smokes? Drinks? Hobbies? If so what are they?
  10. Expletives & Expressions
  11. Education & Religion
  12. One word the character would use to describe themselves
  13. Most at ease when….
  14. Ill at ease when…
  15. Biggest accomplishment
  16. Biggest regret
  17. Biggest vulnerability
  18. Biggest flaw
  19. Biggest strength
  20. Drives and Motivation
  21. List at least two goals (either short or long term)
  22. Most important childhood event that still affects them and why?
  23. Most important person in their life before story starts.
  24. How does the character spend the week before the story starts?
  25. What is your character’s name? (List this at the top of the page)
